This section describes different resources that an English-to-French translator uses on the job:
• On Internet translators' marketplaces, translators may receive notifications of job offers, participate in discussion forums with other translators, ask specific questions of their peers, rate translation agencies, etc.
• Language resources are a must-have for professional translators, whatever their specialities or the type of projects they work on. These resources may be either traditional printed books (dictionaries, usage guides, grammars) or electronic (online or offline).
• Machine translation, although far from a panacea, is becoming increasingly common. Its quality is increasing, so I mention it here as a last resort.
