FAQ

Do I need to translate everything?

No!

Before initiating a large and costly translation project, focus on the message you want to convey. Some parts of your original materials may be totally irrelevant to the target audience.

Remember: A graph, chart or illustration often says much more than a wordy passage and does not usually need to be translated. On the other hand, don’t forget that the way numbers and units are expressed may differ from one country to another.

A seasoned professional translator will not just avoid literally translating idiomatic expressions, but also steer clear of local “clichés” and adapt cultural or political references.
